Victor came from Singapore and shared his experience working in Japan. Although he admits that the work culture is intense, he is grateful that the locals have treated him with grace because they are more lenient with the expectations when it comes to foreigners. He is also appreciative of the food and hygiene standards that Japan upholds, contributing to many good experiences.
He wishes to settle down in Japan because the country has become very open to foreigners in regards to work, but he is transparent about the difficulties when it comes to the language barrier, which seems to be a common difficulty that many foreigners encounter. Currently, he has been staying in Shinjuku and Roppongi because he finds the locations quite convenient and he observed that there are many foreigners occupying the area of Roppongi compared to Shinjuku.
Victor claims that Smile Home is very easy to use and helpful when figuring out what he needs to do and where he should go, as it caters very well to foreigners. His biggest overall tips for others are to learn Japanese and to use Smile Home to help simplify things. According to Victor, those two tips will definitely help foreigners have an easier time while staying in Japan.
